They are well-suited to bright, dry environments and appreciate periods of neglect, making Echeverias ideal house plants whether you have a green thumb or not! Under ideal conditions, they will bloom beautiful small flowers in white, yellow and red.

Light
Thrives in bright direct and indirect sunlight. The more light a plant gets the better it will display its colors and shape. Bright light is required to prevent the Echeveria from "stretching". Intense summer afternoon sun can be too strong and the leaves will sunburn. If you want to grow it in full sun, gradually move it outside. These succulents grow toward their light source, rotate the pot once or twice per week.
Water
Like most succulents, they do not require much water. It is better to under-water Echeverias than to overwater them. Water every 2-3 weeks in full sun or when soil is completely dry. Echeveria can tolerate extended dry periods and survive drought without the need for watering, but they will grow stronger if they receive adequate moisture during their growing season, but avoid letting the plant sit in water for a long time because the roots will rot and avoid watering the leaves. It's important to use a very porous soil, which will allow quick drainage. Water it less in winter. (Filtered water is recommended)

Repotting
Repot only once they have outgrown their container. When repotting an Echeveria plant ensure that the soil is completely dry before removing it from its potting container. Repot in spring as it will be entering into its active growing time.
Propagating
It's very easy to propagate Echeverias. It can be done with stem separation or by leaf cutting. Gently pull leaves away from the rosette and place on top of the potting mix. After drying off for a week or so, these will start producing whole new plants from the leaf base. Make sure to keep the soil moist to grow roots from the cuttings and avoid direct sunlight.
